Meredith Carter

Meredith Carter has more than two decades of experience representing plaintiffs in personal injury and employment matters. In addition to advocating to protect their legal rights, she also represents clients in appeals, arbitrations and in mediations.

Meredith represents people who have been injured from car accidents, animal attacks, nursing home abuse, slip and fall incidents, premises liability, product defects, and other careless and negligent acts.

She also provides counsel to employees and other workers who have been injured or wronged in the workplace. Meredith has successfully resolved numerous employment claims and obtained favorable settlements for clients in matters related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Title VII discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, retaliation, Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), overtime violations and other Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) claims.

She works with clients who have severance agreements, non-compete agreements, and non-solicitation agreements in addition to a wide range of other labor and employment matters as well as Georgia whistleblower claims.

In addition to litigation, Meredith represents clients in appellate cases before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in an effort to preserve a hard-won victory or challenge an unfavorable outcome. Additionally, she represents clients in out-of-court forums such as arbitration and mediation to resolve matters efficiently and effectively.

Meredith joined Hall & Lampros as a Partner after owning her own boutique litigation firm specializing in labor and employment law claims for many years. Earlier in her career, she served clients at other boutique employment litigation firms in Atlanta.

Meredith earned a Juris Doctor degree from Samford University Cumberland School of Law in 2003. While at Samford, she became involved with the Trial Advocacy Board and Moot Court. In her undergraduate career, Meredith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Communications and Spanish from Auburn University.

Barred in both Georgia and Alabama, Meredith is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, Cobb County Bar Association, and the Georgia chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. She was honored to be selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2011.

Meredith has successfully tried and settled numerous cases for clients in her two decades of practicing law, including matters against multi-million and billion-dollar corporations that resulted in six figure settlements.
